Dorothy Dulo is a visionary social entrepreneur dedicated to transforming communities through education, health, and economic empowerment. As the founder of Sawa Africa and co-owner of Rafiki Shoppe, she has developed innovative solutions to address systemic challenges facing rural communities in Kenya.

Driven by a profound personal experience and witnessing the devastating impact of poverty and AIDS in her home village, Dorothy has dedicated her life to creating sustainable programs that uplift children, youths, women and families.

Through Sawa Africa, Dorothy has:
1. Established a school and an innovative intervention in literacy and numeracy for learners left behind
2. Created women's empowerment skills training curricula for rural youths
3. Facilitated cultural exchange programs engaging over 1200 American volunteers

Her social enterprise, Rafiki Shoppe, has generated over $1 million in revenue, supporting critical community development projects while providing employment and training for immigrant and refugee women in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

With a multidisciplinary educational background including an MBA, Strategic Management, and Nursing, Dorothy brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, business acumen, and compassionate leadership to her work.

Dorothy's work embodies the belief that education is a fundamental human right and that strategic, community-driven approaches can create lasting, transformative change.
