Areas of Focus
Ndoto in Action (NIA) is a Tanzania-based organization dedicated to transforming the dreams of children living in poverty into reality. Run by a passionate group of young people, NIA empowers children—especially girls—in rural communities in Arusha to access quality education and break the cycle of poverty. The organization works in some of Tanzania's most underserved areas, where extreme poverty and limited infrastructure create significant barriers to learning. NIA's mission is to create child-friendly learning environments and cultivate active, informed citizens through the knowledge and opportunities education provides.

Hussein Salim is a dedicated and dynamic community development professional who, over the past 8 years, has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Tanzania and beyond. With a passion for making a meaningful impact, Hussein has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing various community development programs encompassing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), research, environmental conservation, education, livelihood, and gender projects. Hussein's commitment to community development is exemplified by his hands-on involvement in diverse projects both within Tanzania and internationally, notably in Nepal, Norway and United States of America.
