Kalobeyei Initiative for Better Life (KI4BLI) is a refugee-led, community-driven organization founded in 2018 to foster sustainable development, empowerment, and resilience within the Kalobeyei settlement and surrounding host communities in Kenya. Guided by its "Learn, Earn, and Develop" model, KI4BLI promotes education, livelihoods, and community development for refugees and host communities alike. Through initiatives like Light Academy and Reemar, the organization nurtures innovation, inclusion, and self-reliance, creating pathways to dignity and long-term prosperity for refugees and displaced persons.

Samuel is a passionate community leader and refugee advocate dedicated to promoting sustainable refugee services and localization. As a co-founder of the Kalobeyei Initiative for Better Life (KI4BLI), he has led transformative programs that empower refugees and host communities through education, livelihoods, and climate action. Under his leadership, Light Academy and Remaar were established to nurture young changemakers and promote community-driven innovation. Samuel believes in human-centered design, collaboration, and learning by doing. His work reflects a strong commitment to creating lasting solutions that foster resilience, dignity, and self-reliance among displaced and marginalized communities.
