Geoffrey Omony leads YOLRED, an organization designed and implemented by former child soldiers with a great passion of bringing peace and healing to the people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. When founding YOLRED, Geoffrey created, designed, and led a research project which involved the collection of over 150 peer-to-peer interviews with former abductees about their experiences and time in captivity. The information was used to inform the organization’s mission, aims, purpose, and culture. Geoffrey is most recently managing a large project using music therapy to bring former combatants and their community together through performing and visual arts, as a means of providing emotional and psychological healing to assist with reintegration.Geoffrey has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, BA in business management with Human resource and a Diploma in Development Studies. In 2018, he graduated as a Gather Fellow with the Goldin Institute as an expert in Community Social Driven change.
