Wanawake Wavuvi (WA-WA Kenya)

WA-WA Kenya works to end the "sex for fish" practices around Lake Victoria by supporting and empowering fisherfolk women, youth, and children. Collaborating with local groups and organizations, Wa-Wa combines financial and technical assistance with empowerment and training programs, while raising awareness on sexual and gender-based violence issues in order to address socio-economic injustice at its root.
