Safe Community Youth Initiative is an organization transforming the lives of girls and young women in Kenya who are at risk of dropping out of school due teenage pregnancy through a holistic approach to education, skills training, and leadership development. The organization envisions a society where girls and young women achieve their full potential.

Mr. Benjamin is a husband and father of two children. Being the founder and CEO of the Safe Community Youth Initiative, he holds qualifications in Hotel and Tourism Management from Mombasa College of Professional Studies. He left his career in Hotel and Tourism Management to start a Community Based Organization in Kenya to impact on the lives of girls and young women.He has grown from a volunteer in several health facilities and local based organizations in Kenya, to a peer educator and finally became a master facilitator of the Shuga TV Series, (An MTV Based Television Series). Through the Shuga TV Series, he has supported in the implementation of evidence based interventions in Kenya targeting girls and young women.Being the founder and CEO of Safe Community Youth Initiative, he is supporting in transforming the lives of girls and young women who are at risk of dropping out of school in Kenya. He is currently a student at Mount Kenya University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in community development.
