HOW WE FUND
The Foundation is currently only onboarding new partners as part of our Collaborative Learning Initiative cohort. The new Cohort begins in January 2022.
IFF partners with leaders of early stage organizations that develop or empower youth by enhancing their capacity to take charge of their lives. Their programs include a range of initiatives such as promoting entrepreneurship, improving the quality of educational opportunities, and supporting cradle to career development.
TYPES OF SUPPORT
IFF provides both funding and capacity-building support to our partners. Our Collaborative Learning Initiative (CLI) supports leaders of early-stage organizations with a cohort of peers to learn together about leadership development, program model and strategy, fundraising and development, personal well being, finances and financial planning, team management and culture, governance, and strategic planning. With some exceptions, our funding is provided to these organizations through general support grants.
IFF is primarily focused on providing funding in Southern & Eastern Africa.
IFF funds programs that directly benefit children and youth living in historically marginalized communities.
ORGANIZATION SIZE & TYPE
IFF strives to support leaders whose organizations are in an early stage of development and are community based or locally led. We firmly believe that deep connections with the community is essential for constructive and continued impact.
